The HP paper pickup roller is an essential part of the paper pickup assembly. The primary function is to grab the top page from a stack of paper and send it further through the print cycle. The paper pick-up roller consists of a plastic frame on which a special rubber ring is placed. Over time, the rubber dries out, wears out due to dirty or poor-quality paper, and the roller will become unable to tighten the sheet. The paper pick-up roller affects the accurate positioning of the image on the sheet, as a worn or damaged pick-up roller skews the paper when it is picked up. In addition, the crooked paper gets stuck in the printer, thereby increasing the probability of damage to the device.
